Finding Your Niche in the Digital Space with Nancy Badillo

14 Feb, 2022

You don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great.

At first glance, despite being a powerful advice, it’s hard to fathom how you can simply start in order to be great.

Especially true when you’ve got all sorts of fears brewing at the spit of your stomach, not to mention the impostor syndrome that’s taking over your mind like a plague.

“I don’t know where to start.”

“Maybe I’m not good enough.”

“There’s still so much I have to learn first before I…”

These are probably the most common objections you’ll hear from people when asked why they haven’t started their entrepreneurial journey.

Sound familiar?

Whether you find yourself relating to these, or you’re making your way but need help picking up the pace towards the success you deserve, you’re in luck because we’ve got Nancy Badillo here to crush your concerns!

Nancy is a CEO, Etsy coach, YouTuber, blogger and digital marketing expert, and has been in the digital space for 12 years.

Her mission is to help small business owners build and scale their businesses by leveraging the power of the digital space. With a focus on e-commerce coaching, as well as content creation, she is able to provide her clients with valuable expertise from startups, all through growth stages, making sure that they are equipped with everything they need to thrive in the market.

Nancy went from earning 6 figures to bankruptcy real quick during the 2008 recession. She lost her home and found it difficult to pick herself up as she suffered with impostor syndrome.

After finding the courage to leverage her experiences and expertise in the online markets, and understanding the power of niching down, she’s generated more success for herself than she did back in ’08, and she’s helping fellow entrepreneurs do the same!

What’s Nancy’s big secret to success? How does niching down ultimately benefit your business? What other marketing strategies does she employ to keep growing her business?

Tune in to gain insights from the experiences of fellow entrepreneurs and learn more about setting your business up for success!

[00:01:05] VIRGINIA: I am excited to have you here with us today. Your story seems. I want to say really incredible, but also one that it's relatable on deeper levels. So would you be able to tell us a little bit about yourself? Like how you kind of got to where you are today?

[00:03:56] VIRGINIA: So when you said that you had read, like, from different [00:04:00] things to different things, like I just brought up kind of like the shiny object syndrome. Was it hard for you to like put those blinders on and just focus on that one niche?

[00:05:53] VIRGINIA: for those who are listening that might have. Let's say that shiny object syndrome, or might have that [00:06:00] fear of niching down and sticking to it. Do you have any advice to share?

[00:08:22] VIRGINIA: as much as we might not want to hear that. So who is your ideal client now?

[00:09:09] VIRGINIA: How do they find you? Like, what do you, what marketing strategies do you use to get in front of them?

[00:12:09] VIRGINIA: So what are a couple of your big goals that you have, for the next one to two years?

[00:14:31] VIRGINIA: What do you feel are your biggest roadblocks, and maybe stopping you from getting those goals?

[00:18:16] VIRGINIA: Yeah. So around your price and stuff, what has been the best advice that you have received?

[00:19:10] VIRGINIA: So what's the best advice you've ever given?

[00:21:31] VIRGINIA: So true right. Preparing them for later on giving them good skills they can use. Is there anything that we have not talked about that you would like to share with us?
